Impact
200 (160 students, 40 employees), and the local small-scale farmers.
Why?

The Ibb Food Production Plant is an annex to the University’s Faculty of Agriculture. It directly benefits small-scale farmers in the local areas providing farming inputs (seeds, seedling, organic fertilizer) and receiving raw supply material (milk) for its dairy production unit. Besides, it also serves as the educational and technical training facility for the faculty’s students. Due to the damaged facilities and poor electricity supply since the start of the war, the production plant’s services are disrupted, impacting students and the small-scale farmers with repercussions on the local agricultural productivity.

How?

This project will restart the Ibb food production plant and (i) rehabilitate the plant’s space; (ii) provide necessary tools, equipment, and material for seedlings organic fertilizer production and milk cold storage units; in addition to (iii) a solar energy system.
